Services: Chiropractic Care
Dr. Kouzes received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States, College of Chiropractic in 2007 and is currently enrolled part-time in a master of public health program at the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health with a focus on Public Health Practice and Policy.
Her treating practice emphasis is on conditions involving muscles, bones, joints, and nerves. Treatment usually includes muscle work, exercises, and chiropractic adjustments performed either manually or tool assisted. Dr. Kouzes also takes time to understand a patient's whole health, allowing an hour or more for new patient visits. She enjoys working with patients and other health professionals to find appropriate solutions to whatever health conditions and goals there may be.
Dr. Kouzes gained a passion for public protection and chiropractic regulation after serving on the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners from 2013 to 2019. She is the District I Director of the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards and a Regional Medical Director at The CHP Group where she is able to using her skills of public protection, regulation, policy, and evidence-based practices. Dr. Kouzes serves as a member of the Evidence-based Guidelines Subcommittee (EbGS) of the Health Evidence Review Commission (HERC) for the Oregon Health Authority (OHA). Dr. Kouzes is also called as an expert witness and consultant on medicolegal cases.
When not working, Dr. Kouzes enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter. Other activities and areas of interest are jogging, growing vegetables, restoring nature areas, and hiking.
